LoL Montage Tutorial: The Basics (English)

Hey Guys,

welcome to my Blog, this will be my first tutorial about the
basics of lol video editing.

Most readers will know about me because they saw my lol montages,
and many viewers asked for a tutorial, so lets do this!

You will need these programs:
1. League of Legends (Suprise!)
2. LoL Recorder (Download-Link: http://www.leaguereplays.com/ )
3. A record programm like Fraps, Gamecam or Camtasia (i use Fraps)
4. Video Edit Software to Cut & Edit the Videos (I use Sony Vegas)

Thats it, if you got these programs you can start. >:)

LoL Recorder will now record the lol-matches,
after a few games it could look like this:

(Note: If you had a nice match, rename the replayfile like: "Brand 1 Quadra at 24:30")

You can now watch the matches you were playing, it makes it a lot easier,
the guys from leaguereplays.com made a awesome job. Thanks!

Now start the replay, and capture the scenes with fraps.

(Note: Theres a bug with Fraps, you cant capture if you used fast forward before,
use the 10sec. skip button to faster the replay "+")

(Note: Right click (hold) to change the cameraview)

The LoL-Recorder Commands:
  • “+” advances forward 10 seconds
  • “U” toggles in game UI
  • “L” toggles minion HP bars
  • SHIFT + L toggles all HP bars (minions and players)
  • SHIFT + K toggles player names
  • Right Click + Drag tilts the camera
  • “i” sets the camera tilt back to the default value

After you captured all the scenes, you got them as a videofile,
you could even upload them now on youtube. But we're not done yet.
Lets bring all the parts together, then you can call it a montage!

Of course you can use every other video edit software, but i use sony vegas.

(Note: Use "S" to cut scenes.)

Just "Drag & Drop" the videofiles (same with Songs) into your sony vegas program.
Now you can Cut & Edit your video, when you are finished render the video
(File / Render as...), and its ready for youtube!

These information are just the BASICS you need to make your own montage.

Maybe I will release other tutorials which will bring you deeper into editing,
especially Sony Vegas needs some time to handle it

I hope i could help some people with this little guide, got any questions?
Just write a comment. :P

Greetings,

-Kommando
